~ Loving Bears ~

This was yesterday's lunch for Little A. I used mashed potato to make two loving bears sitting on top of air-fried salmon as the bench. One of the bear is holding balloons :)

Cooked some tomato pasta with blanched broccoli and a bowl of fruits for Little A. All are her favorites! But at the end, she didn't ate the bears, she said "kesian" (pity) to eat the bears. So the bear goes into mummy tummy.....lol!

~ Breakfast ~

This year, Big E starts to have schooling from Sunday to Thursday. Feel so weird to have school on Sunday but no choice......

So after sending Big E to school, I prepare breakfast......Hmm...normally Little A will wake up late and I feel so nice to have my little own time without a little "parrot" talking non stop beside me! Lol! :P

Below are two breakfast that I've prepared for the past two weeks.

The first one ~ Hello Kitty, breakie for myself

Using my Hello Kitty waffle maker to toast the bread, some scramble eggs, ham and fruits

Another breakie - We are buddies!

Inspired by my pyjamas :P Since I'm going out with my buddies on the same day so give me the idea of making this buddy bears.

The bears are bread skin sandwiches with cheese and butter. Strawberries and grapes for the dresses. Simple ingredients for Little A :)

Hope you'll like it too! ^_^

Bento #87 ~ Halloween Bear

Hi, I'm back with my bento-ing! We had a great family trip to Macau / Hongkong and of course we will not missed out the kids favourite, Disneyland ^_^

Today's bento is my first Halloween bento of this year. Actually I've not plan to make any Halloween bento as we don't celebrate Halloween and the girls have not much interest on it. But this has changed after we are back from Disneyland. With all the Halloween theme in the park, the girls seems delighted to see it. I will post some of the photos that I've snapped in Disneyland at the bottom of this post.

Back to bento, I've make Halloween bear using rice mixed with colored furikake, sausage for the ear and nori for the details. The hat is made from nori and cheese. The bear is holding a pumpkin deco ring :)

A closer look of the Halloween bear.......

In another box, there are gyoza and bread crumbed salmon decorate with some Halloween picks.

And here is some of the photos that I took in Disneyland, Hongkong.

Bento #86 ~ Autumn Bears

Yesterday night, while I'm looking at my bento boxes, thinking what to use for today's bento.....Big E saw my wooden bento box and asked "mummy, why not tomorrow use this box?" I paused for awhile to reply her, I'm quite reluctant to let her bring to school....... so worried she will spoil it :P Maybe Big E knows my worries, she said "mummy, don't worry I will take care your precious box." Ok, then shall bring this bento box to school. :)

Today I've make two cute bears playing peekaboo in this Autumn season. How I wish my place here have four seasons too.......

The bears are made from mashed potato mixed with some butter, salt and pepper. Hand molded the shape, a bit dry and the bears crack.....:(
The leaves are egg sheets and carrot using cutter to cut out the shape.

In the bento, there are honey soy chicken, pan-fried hanpen and a pack of furikake.

Bento #74 ~ Three Little Bears ~

This bento was done on Monday for Little A. Rules for Little A's bento got to be simple with all favourite foods and her choices are not much....bread with jam / cheese and fruits >.<

I made three cute little bears for her. Bears are made of bread skin. I use the cutter to cut out the shape and add nori for the details. Lastly decorate with cute picks.

Show Little A the bento before she left for school. She asked "mummy, where is the Goldilock?" Oh no, she thought I'm making Goldilock and the Three Bears! No choice, end up I replied "Goldilock has run away when she saw the bears! Lol! :P

Bento #70 ~ Little girl in bunny costume ~

Today's bento theme was a last minute decision because mummy is overslept again....hehe. Left half an hour for me to cook and prepare the bento. Argh....got to whipped something fast and easy. Cooked some gyoza and sausages for the girls. I mixed some sakura denbu on the rice for the pink bunny, hand moulded the shape and place it in the box. Phew! Finished it just in time! Hmm.....but it seems that the portion is a bit too small for my big eater :P

We are gonna start our two weeks Hari Raya break and school holidays on next Monday. Hmm...time for me to get some rest. I'll still make lunch bento during weekends. :D

In the bento, there are sweet corn, corn croquette, grilled pork roll with chikuwa and some blueberries.

Bento #60 ~ Little Bear on the Baked Pasta

This is for my girls lunch on last Saturday. I cooked some baked pasta for the girls so thought of decorate the pasta with little bear.Little bear is made of mashed potato. Hand mold the bear shape. Details are nori. Wanted to make the bear holding a balloon but due to the weight of the grape the balloon cannot stand so change it to a flag. I added some food colouring on the balance mashed potato for the flowers.

Little A couldn't bear to eat the little bear and keep it....end up it goes into Big E tummy! Lol!

Bento #53 ~ Little Girls in Bear Costumes ~

Today's bento ~ little girls in bear costumes. Hmmm...........actually wanted to make little girls in Totoro but no time to finish it >.< Sometimes will feel stress to finish two bentos within 45 min. How I wish I have more time to finish it nicely. My hubby saw me in a hurry, he laugh and said "I think you got to wake up at 4am to do your bento" =.=

Little girl is onigiri whereas the costume is made of inari. I cut an oval shape hole for the little girl face. Add a piece of egg sheet for the hair and details are nori. Dabbed a little bit of tomato sauce for the cheeks.

In the bento, there are pan-seared salmon, pumpkin ball, chikuwa and tangerine ^_^
