Have been so busy lately and I still have so many posts to update. I think I couldn't make it to post them one by one so now I'm gonna post all the bentos and foodart together in two posts. Very short cut huh?! Lol.

For this post, I'm gonna share all the bentos that I've made for the past few weeks :D

Dinner ~ Little Girl with Gigantic Lollipop!

Sharing a food art that I made on last week for Little A's dinner. This idea was inspired by Little A, my little girl who loves lollipop very much. Loves to see how she enjoyed her lollipop and her favourite lollipop is Chupa Chups. Whenever she sees it, she will request mummy to buy for her. Of course, once awhile mummy will buy for her, as I think that every kids should enjoy the feel of licking the lollipop! Lol!

Okay back to foodart....that night we had chicken rice for dinner. So the girl was made from chicken rice, nori for the hair and imitation crabsticks for the ribbon, fried fish fillet for the tops and broccoli for the skirts. The gigantic lollipop was cheese with imitation crabsticks, underneath was chicken fillet.

And this is how the girl looks like!

Bento #98 ~ Birthday Bento

Late post again :P This bento was specially made for my sister's birthday!

Last Friday, was my sister's birthday so I planned to make a birthday bento for her. Actually last year, I did make a birthday bento for her too....but too bad she was not in town and this surprise bento ends up gone to Big E's tummy...hehe. So this year, I make this birthday bento again and this round I make sure my sis is in town :D

I make a happy little girl holding a present. Big E asked me "Is this little girl me? I'm holding the present to give yiyi?" I replied "No, that's MUMMY holding the present" then Big E said "Mummy?? Mummy looks so cute?" LOL

Little girl is rice mixed with some ketchup. Hand moulded the shape. Hair is cheese and nori. The present is rice molded in cube added a cute flower pick and imitation crabsticks for the ribbon.

A closer look of the little girl ^_^

In another box, there are gyozas, fried meatballs, some tomaotoes and baby bell pepper.

Have a view of my last year birthday bento for my dearest sis!

Tutorial ~ Little Girl Onigiri

Today, I'm sharing the tutorial for the little girl with two piggytails that I've done for my niece on last week. Make it again for Little A's dinner with the help of Big E, saw her hands? Hehe...and she was so happy and told Little A that dinner was prepared by her. Lol!

Here is the tutorial:-

Ingredients : Rice, egg sheets, nori (seaweed), cling wrap, ketchup, spaghetti, picks, small scissors, tweezer and cheese (forgot to take photo) :P

Using cling wrap to wrap the rice ball, you can make whatever size that you like. Since this is for Little A, I'm making a smaller size of rice ball.

Place an egg sheet on the rice ball and fix the position using spaghetti.

Next, fold the egg sheet into half, using a knife to cut the egg sheet. Be careful, do not cut off the egg sheet.

Roll the egg sheet.

Using picks to fix the position of the egg sheet on the rice ball.

Cut out the details using small scissors and place them on the rice ball.

Cut two small circle from the cheese and place them on the eyes. Add the eyelashes too

Lastly, dab some ketchup on the cheeks.

And here is the completed little girl onigiri ^_^

I transformed the little girl to a little princess by adding a crown pick for her and a black gown using nori. The black gown was inspired by Samantha Lee. Check it out her great ideas at http://www.leesamantha.com/

Bento #80 ~ Pretty Girl Bento

Today's bento is specially made for my niece. She is having her UPSR (Primary 6) exam today. The exam last for three days. Instead of exam theme bento, I made a pretty girl with two pigtails for my pretty niece. And I added a small victory hand sign pick for her to encourage her :)

Pretty girl is made of onigiri, egg sheet for the hair and pigtails, nori and cheese for the details. And lastly dabbed some ketchup for the cheeks. I made this pretty girl before in bread version. Click here to see the bento.

In the bento, there are gyozas, seafood beancurds, chikuwa, sausages and grapes.

Good luck dear! ^_^

Bento #70 ~ Little girl in bunny costume ~

Today's bento theme was a last minute decision because mummy is overslept again....hehe. Left half an hour for me to cook and prepare the bento. Argh....got to whipped something fast and easy. Cooked some gyoza and sausages for the girls. I mixed some sakura denbu on the rice for the pink bunny, hand moulded the shape and place it in the box. Phew! Finished it just in time! Hmm.....but it seems that the portion is a bit too small for my big eater :P

We are gonna start our two weeks Hari Raya break and school holidays on next Monday. Hmm...time for me to get some rest. I'll still make lunch bento during weekends. :D

Bento #58 ~ Little Girl Bento

This bento is done on last Saturday for Little A tea break. As usual, I'll pack some food for Little A before we go to church. Little A requested for a girl bento. Hmm......this give me the idea of making a little girl with hair tied up in two buns.

The little girl is bread with strawberry jam and egg sheet for the hair. Details are nori and dabbed some strawberry jam for the cheeks. Add some grapes and decorate with some flower and butterfly picks. That's it! Simple bento with all her favourites! :D

Bento #53 ~ Little Girls in Bear Costumes ~

Today's bento ~ little girls in bear costumes. Hmmm...........actually wanted to make little girls in Totoro but no time to finish it >.< Sometimes will feel stress to finish two bentos within 45 min. How I wish I have more time to finish it nicely. My hubby saw me in a hurry, he laugh and said "I think you got to wake up at 4am to do your bento" =.=

Little girl is onigiri whereas the costume is made of inari. I cut an oval shape hole for the little girl face. Add a piece of egg sheet for the hair and details are nori. Dabbed a little bit of tomato sauce for the cheeks.

In the bento, there are pan-seared salmon, pumpkin ball, chikuwa and tangerine ^_^
